Defending GKN

Tasked with producing a digital communications plan to support the defence of GKN against hostile takeover, I worked alongside specialist communications agencies and lawyers to ensure GKN’s defence team were always aware of the latest conversations, news and how we could best utilise digital influencers to support the campaign.

Daily digital summary reports were provided, with the most influencial comments and most relevant news articles provided alongside website intelligence on which businesses had been viewing content on the website.

Identifying and utilising influencers (Trade Unions, MP’s and journalists) to support the campaign narrative, spread key messages and give GKN the maximum share of voice.

Creating an effective digital communications plan whilst adhering to the strict Takeover Panel rules.
